According to NBA insider Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports, the Phoenix Suns are interested in trading for Miles Bridges and Nick Richards of the Charlotte Hornets.

The Hornets, who traded Terry Rozier to the Miami Heat, are open to moving more veterans before the NBA trade deadline.

“A source has confirmed to PHNX Sports that the Suns are interested in Richards…as well as Miles Bridges,” Bourguet wrote.

The Suns are 25-18 on the season. They are in sixth place in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, the Hornets are 10-31. They are in 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

Bridges is averaging 20.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.5 blocks this season while shooting 46.0% from the field, 35.6% from beyond the arc and 87.1% from the free-throw line. He’s making $7.9 million. The lefty becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Along with the Suns, Bridges has been linked to the Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons and Dallas Mavericks.

Meanwhile, Richards is averaging 8.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.4 steals and 1.3 blocks while shooting 67.5% from the floor and 76.3% from the foul line. He’s making $5 million.

According to NBA insider Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports, the Suns have explored what the combination of Grayson Allen and Nassir Little could bring back. It will be interesting to see if Phoenix’s front office makes a move before the trade deadline, which is on February 8.
