Phoenix Suns star guard Bradley Beal is questionable with left hamstring tightness he suffered before the NBA All-Star break for tomorrow’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
This will be the Suns’ first game out of the break. Beal missed the Suns’ last contest, a 116-100 victory over the Detroit Pistons last Wednesday. He suffered the injury during last Tuesday’s win over the Sacramento Kings in the first quarter and did not return.
addition to the hamstring injury, Beal also underwent a nasal procedure to fix his nasal fracture suffered Jan. 26 over the break.
The Suns want to see how he responds to today’s practice before determining his status, coach Frank Vogel said today. Vogel added Beal will still wear a protective mask on his nose despite the procedure, per AZ Central’s Duane Rankin.
Tomorrow will also be the first game that new addition Thaddeus Young is available for the Suns. Vogel said “we’ll see” in terms of if Young will get minutes against the Mavericks, according to Sports Illustrated’s Grant Afseth.
Damion Lee remains out for the Suns after undergoing right meniscus surgery this offseason.
Mavericks injury report
Tomorrow night will be the first time the Suns face the Mavericks, who have won six straight, with Kyrie Irving.
Luka Doncic (broken nose), Dereck Lively II (nasal fracture) and Maxi Kleber (nasal fracture) are all probable for Dallas.
Dante Exum (right knee bursitis) is out.
Phoenix has gone 1-1 against Dallas so far this season and last blew them out on the road 132-109 on Jan. 24.
