The eight-time NBA All-Star and one of the most incredible shooters currently of the league, Milwaukee Bucks star point guard, Damian Lillard has once again shown great efficiency in the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Bucks defeated the Timberwolves with a concluding score of 107-112 and they have also defeated the Charlotte Hornets with a score of 123-85 as well. However, Dame Time has recently opened up about his transition from the Portland Trail Blazers to Milwaukee Bucks and how different it has been for him.
Lillard engaged in an interview with Sports Illustrated and talked about multiple subjects ranging from his trade, coaching change, and how he is positive all the way when considering the future of the team. According to Chris Mannix of SI, Lillard shared, “I think sometimes that the toughest way is the way to go. You know, when you want to turn things around, play against the best team in the West on the road coming out of this break. This is how you want it to happen to get over that bump and get going in the right direction. We need it.”
Since moving to the Bucks squad, Lillard also shared what he is up to during his free time and how his life is moving ahead with the squad who is currently third in the Eastern Conference.
He revealed, “Bro, go to practice, go home, watch boxing, play video games. Man, I type in [boxing website] FightHype on YouTube 100 times and be praying for something new to be on there. Seriously, I don”t have much of a life. But that”s what comes with making a big boy decision. You got to be down for that and figure it out.”
Lillard was selected in the 2012 NBA Draft in the first round as the sixth overall pick by the Portland Trail Blazers. He spent eleven seasons with the squad and requested a trade in order to compete for a NBA championship squad.

However his decision for choosing the trade has come at a cost for him as the incredibly talented point guard admitted that he feels remote as all his family and friends are in Portland. He further shared, “It”s definitely lonely because I”m such a family guy. My life is my family. After games, I would come out and my whole family would be back there. My kids coming out of the playroom.”
“My mom, my brother, my cousins lived there, you know what I mean? My best friends live in Portland. So I would come out, we would go to dinner. They might come to my house. After practice, I might go to my mom”s house and just chill. That”s how my life was. So, I mean, I”m fine because I”m grown. But it”s definitely lonely. I”m filled up by those people.”
Lillard had spent a long time with the Blazers and there are only few players who fortunately spend such a long time with one squad. He also shared that adjusting to the Milwaukee squad and their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has not been smooth.
He further states, “Obviously, trying to figure out me pairing with Giannis [Antetokounmpo] and being a part of this team. It”s a process and I think that”s been an adjustment for both of us. He”s used to playing a certain way. I”m used to playing a certain way, and I think we”ve had moments. I just think it”s still a work in progress.”
Despite their early struggles both Lillard and Antetokounmpo have grown as the season has advanced. Lillard is averaging 24.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists through fifty-three games. His shooting from the field is 42.3 percent and from the arc it is 34.2 percent as per BR report.
