The deal sent shockwaves through the sports world, including the NFL, as Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Charles Omenihu posted his feelings about the trade on social media. He was upset that Thompson did not land with the Los Angeles Lakers, which was immediately commented on by longtime Mavericks fan, Patrick Mahomes.
