Chris Sale really wanted to see Jarren Duran make the Major League Baseball All-Star Game so much so that he was texting his former manager before the official announcement.
The former Boston Red Sox pitcher crashed Jarren Duran’s All-Star Game interview on MLB Network on Monday afternoon in Texas and revealed that he sent a text to Alex Cora about the speedy outfielder.
“Please tell me Duran made it,” Sale, now with the Atlanta Braves, said on the MLB Network set. “And he did. I was like, ‘Dude, this guy’s an absolute spark plug for that team.”
