The Oregon Ducks have been on a tear on the 2026 recruiting trail. Dan Lanning and company have put together the No. 3 class in the country, headlined by four five-star recruits. A feat that isn’t too surprising considering the Ducks have been routinely putting together top five classes over the past few seasons. However, just because they currently hold verbal commitments from some of the best recruits in the country, doesn’t mean that other programs won’t be pushing for a flip. Something that Rivals reported appears to be the case for five-star EDGE, Anthony “Tank” Jones. Ranked as the…

Alabama football’s newly-named starting quarterback Ty Simpson hasn’t just won over his offense. He has the respect of his peers on the other side of the ball, too. Ty, he’s a leader of men,” Brown said. “I’m extremely glad that he’s my quarterback.” Brown called Simpson “a guy’s guy.” Sure, Simpson is exceptional at slinging the rock, and the Martin, Tenn. native can often be found trading crimson for camouflage to climb up in…

When Alabama football named Ty Simpson as its starting quarterback on Monday, the redshirt junior was elated. However, for the other two players who had been competing for the job, the news was likely disappointing, though not unexpected. Speaking to reporters Tuesday after the Crimson Tide finished practice, offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb was asked what his message to Austin Mack and Keelon Russell had been after Simpson’s starting job was announced to the team. I think for those guys– not I think, I know, they have to continue to progress,” Grubb said. “For quarterbacks in general, any position is…
