We haven’t touched on the NFL draft status of J.J. McCarthy in a few days but his stock is soaring. Last week, he was even projected as a top-three pick to the New England Patriots.
Mel Kiper Jr., a long-time ESPN NFL draft analyst also said on a podcast that McCarthy is in the mix to overtake Drake Maye for the No. 3 quarterback. Kiper sees Jayden Daniels as the second-best quarterback but the former Michigan football quarterback is making a strong case to be a top-three pick.
I think the Chicago Bears should consider him No. 1 overall. Caleb Williams is a good prospect, but someone is going to be a bust in this NFL draft class, and despite what Ohio State fans, I don’t think that will be Michigan football quarterback J.J. McCarthy.

Michigan Wolverines take 2nd in Big Ten wrestling tournament
The Michigan Wolverines had a strong weekend on the mat at the Big Ten tournament, taking second behind Penn State at the Big Ten wrestling championships.
Michigan wrestling actually had four grapplers advance to the finals but all four finished runner-up. Wlll Lewan (157), Dylan Ragusin (133), Austin Gomez (149), and Shane Griffith (174) all finished in second place. Yet, Michigan scored a total of 123.5 points which was the second-highest total ever for the Wolverines at the Big Ten tournament. U-M qualified nine wrestlers for nationals.
