VERMILLIO, S.D. (Dakota News Now) – The South Dakota Coyote women are the only local team still in action as March Madness begins to turn the calendar toward April.
They’ll look to keep their season alive tomorrow night in the Super 16 of the WNIT at Wyoming.
- Between everything USD’s been through this season, from their coach Kayla Karius missing time while giving birth to her daughter, and missing the WNIT with a post birth health issue, to the sudden death of Kendall Holmes father, the Coyotes have certainly bonded closer together and feel they’re playing for something bigger than each other.
Which is why each chance to keep playing together means so much.
The Coyotes and Cowgirls will tip tomorrow night from Arena-Auditorium in Laramie, Wyoming at 7:30 PM CST.
Of particular interest to USD fans is who the Coyotes could face if they advance. The victor of this game sees the winner between of the contest NDSU and Minnesota, also on Friday night in Minneapolis. The Gophers are led by former USD head coach Dawn Plitzuweit.
