Michigan Wolverines defensive back Josh Wallace is signing with the Los Angeles Rams after not being selected in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Wallace played just one year at Michigan after playing his first four seasons at UMass. He recorded 41 tackles in his last year with the Minutemen and picked off two passes and recovered a fumble.
He came over to Michigan to solidify an already stacked defensive backfield. Wallace would record 22 solo tackles and assisted on 11 more. He also recovered a fumble in a pivotal moment in the Rose Bowl against Alabama.
Wallace is listed at 5-foot-11 and 185 pounds, so he is a bit undersized for the NFL. However, he is a smart player who is great at recognizing routes. He has decent speed and recorded a 4.35 on the 20-yard shuttle drill at the combine.
He wasn’t a breakout star at Michigan, but he was solid as a rock and helped the Wolverines shore up the defensive backfield this past season. He will surely get a crack at making the 53-man roster for the Rams.
