Milwaukee Bucks news: The Los Angeles Lakers are in the midst of a comprehensive search for their new head coach for the upcoming season. This is after the organization decided to part ways with Darvin Ham following their disheartening first-round series loss to the defending champs Denver Nuggets.
Several candidates have already emerged as potential replacements for Ham, and this includes former Bucks shot-caller Mike Budenholzer. Former No. 2 overall pick Evan Turner believes that Coach Bud would be a great fit for LeBron James and the Lakers.
Speaking on a recent episode of the Point Forward podcast, Turner explained why he believes Budenholzer would be a great choice for the Lakers. The retired NBA journeyman pointed out that one of the biggest tasks LA’s new head coach will need to fulfill is dealing with LeBron, which Turner thinks Budenholzer is fully capable of:
This actually makes a lot of sense. The Darvin Ham experiment proved that an inexperienced head coach did not exactly work well for LeBron and the Lakers so perhaps a guy with a resume such as Budenholzer’s would be a more ideal fit for the high-profile job in Hollywood.Π
