It’s been a few weeks now since the Los Angeles Lakers decided to part ways with head coach Darvin Ham after two seasons with the team.
Although there’s been plenty of time that has passed, the Lakers have yet to hire a new leader on the sideline, even though there’s been plenty of candidates linked to the team.
At this point in time, it seems as though it is JJ Redick’s job to lose in Los Angeles, with all signs pointing to the team taking a gamble on another first-timer to lead this team filled with hungry veterans looking to win an NBA title.
Even though all signs point to Redick becoming Ham’s successor in Los Angeles, the team seems in no rush to hire a new head coach and might wait until next month to make the move.
According to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst, the Lakers could wait until after the NBA Finals in order to name their new head coach, via “The Dan Patrick Show.”
