KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Thousands of people across East Tennessee and Eastern Kentucky lost power Sunday as strong storms moved through the region.
As of 6:25 p.m., the following have more than 100 outages:
- Knoxville Utilities Board: 6,039 outages
- Volunteer Energy Cooperative: 2,040 outages
- Powell Valley Electric Cooperative: 505 outages
- Appalachian Electric Cooperative: 886 outages
- Morristown Utilities Commission: 697 outages
- Cumberland Valley Electric (Kentucky): 5,253 outages (Bell, Harlan and McCreary counties)
- Kentucky Utilities: 2,556 outages (Bell, Harlan and McCreary counties)
- South Kentucky RECC: 1,647 outages (McCreary County, Kentucky)
