The Boston Red Sox finished up a three-game sweep of the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday as they continued their much improved play on the diamond. They have won seven of their last eight games and five in a row. Boston’s renaissance started when they took two of three games against the best team in the National League, the Philadelphia Phillies. They then took two of three against their fierce rival, the New York Yankees.
The Phillies and Yankees have the two best records in Major League Baseball. Boston’s offense has been the driving force behind them playing some of their best baseball of the season. They have averaged nearly 7.5 runs per game in their seven victories. Will the Boston Red Sox be able to keep up their high level of play?
