Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and Chicago Sky standout Angel Reese are set to team up for the first time, uniting their talents. However, the two will need to put their on-court rivalry aside for the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game. The rookie duo headlines the roster, which was released Tuesday. Clark, who recently downplayed the rivalry narrative between her and Reese, hopes the pairing is not a distraction for the All-Star weekend in July.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been her teammate before, even with USA Basketball or anything like that,” Clark said, via Matthew Byrne. “So I know people are going to be really excited about it, but I hope it doesn’t take away from everybody else. This is a huge accomplishment for everybody on Team USA and everybody on Team WNBA. They all deserve the same praise.
