The reveal of the American and National League starting lineups for the All-Star Game earlier this week included a few surprises, including Trea Turner of the Philadelphia Phillies earning the starting spot at shortstop over Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers.
In the AL, the Yankees took control of the outfield with starters Aaron Judge and Juan Soto manning center and right field, respectively. Judge received the most votes in MLB with 3,425,309.
After the starting lineups were set by a vote of fans, reserves and pitchers for the game will be determined via a combination of player ballots and decisions from the commissioner’s office. That announcement will be made on Sunday.
