Noah Lyles is hoping to leave his mark at the 2024 Paris Olympics, but safe to say his lead up to the event has made noise on social media.
His docuseries on Netflix, ‘SPRINT’, received mixed reactions from fans, with many stating that they found his attitude unlikable.

Then there is the reignited rivalry between the USA and Jamaica heading into the games, which has put Lyles in the middle of another discussion.
However, that doesn’t seem to be what the 26-year-old is most bothered by.
Lyles not feeling the support
During an appearance on the ‘Track World News’ podcast, Lyles noted that the reaction from his own countrymen has left him reeling.
“I was more shocked of, I don’t know…the toxicity from the U.S. on their own people!” he stated, noting how he saw Rai Benjamin’s post about ‘SPRINT’ on X receive negative comments.
This left him asking: “Do you all want them to succeed or not want them to succeed?”
Lyles’ preparations
As for action on the tack, Lyles recently pulled out of Wanda Diamond League competition in Monaco in order to continue his training in Florida ahead of the Olympics.
“I’m sorry to announce that I’ve withdrawn from this Friday’s Meeting Herculis EBS in Monaco,” Lyles said. “The meet is one of my favorites to compete in, and Monaco is one of my favorite places that my career has taken me to.”
“My coach, my entire team and I are very pleased with what we were able to achieve at the US Olympic Trials in Eugene, however, in order to put myself in the best possible position to succeed in Paris, we have decided to spend an extra week at our training base in Florida before traveling to Europe.
