Tennessee basketball is one of eight finalists for 2025 four-star point guard Christian Jeffrey, the Lanham, Md. native announced this week. The Vols were joined by Butler, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi State, Oklahoma State, Penn State and Texas A&M.
“They let their guards play very freely and they do a lot for their guards and that’s what I am used to doing now,” Jeffrey told 247Sports national basketball analyst Travis Branham about Tennessee. Jeffrey currently has an official visit with Butler scheduled for September 14th. He is in the process of scheduling the rest of his visits as he aims to make a mid-October decision.
“I am looking for somewhere I can come in and play right away, be treated fairly and a school that can do something for me if basketball doesn’t work out,” Jeffrey said.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound guard is ranked as the No. 93 overall player in the country by the industry-generated 247Sports Composite Rankings. Jeffrey is ranked as the No. 138 overall player in 247’s personal rankings, in addition to being ranked as the 15th-best combo-guard and the fifth-best player in the state of Maryland.
