Faizon Brandon debuted as a top-100 prospect in 247Sports’ rankings almost a year ago, before he made the first start of his high school career. He then vaulted to the top of the rankings in April coming off an impressive sophomore season.
To say the least, 247Sports’ analysts — including director of scouting Andrew Ivins — have been high on Brandon’s potential all along. That hasn’t changed now that the five-star Class of 2026 quarterback from Grimsley High School in Greensboro, N.C., has committed to Tennessee going into his junior season.
The 6-foot-3.5, 197-pound Brandon chose the Vols over LSU, Alabama and N.C. State on Saturday afternoon during a ceremony at his school, giving Tennessee football another highly ranked quarterback prospect to start its 2026 recruiting class.
