Weekly has guided the Lady Vols to a successful stretch over the last two years that has included back-to-back SEC regular season titles, a conference tournament title and a trip to the Women’s College World Series semifinals in 2023.
“I am very appreciative of Danny White’s continued faith in me to lead the Lady Vol softball program,” Weekly said. “It is an honor and privilege to be a part of the best athletics department in college sports and we are just getting started.”
Weekly is the longest-tenured current head coach at Tennessee and will begin her 24th season as head coach in 2025. She has amassed 1,085 wins with the program and is second only to legendary women’s basketball coach Pat Summitt (1,098) in career coaching victories at Tennessee.
