Chattanooga-(WDEF-TV) Chattanooga will be ‘Rocky Top South’ on Thursday .Vols baseball coach Tony Vitello will be in town to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Lookouts game against Rocket City.Vitello led UT to the national title back in June
He’s coming to Chattanooga to reunite with one of his former players. Christian Moore is a member of the Rocket City Trash Pandas.
And he has got to be one of the hottest hitters on the planet. Moore was named the Southern League player of the week Monday after batting over .500 with four home runs.
It’s hard to believe Moore was on that Vols national title team back in June. Now here he is already tearing up Double-A baseball.
First pitch Tuesday is set for 7:15pm. Rocket City will be in town through Sunday.
