American sprint queen Gabby Thomas has supported Noah Lyles’ girlfriend Junelle Bromfield in her public battle against cyberbullying and colorism

Olympic 200m champion Gabby Thomas has extended her support to Noah Lyles’ girlfriend Junelle Bromfield following a public battle with cyberbullying.

Bromfield recently disclosed the online abuse she faced, sparking conversations about colorism and bullying in sports.

Bromfield, who has represented Jamaica at numerous international events, including the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where she won a bronze medal in the 4x400m relay, took to Instagram to share her ordeal.

“I honestly thought we were past colorism in Jamaica especially as a nation that is filled with Black people,” she expressed in a heartfelt post.

“I have been getting cyberbullied for weeks and when it gets talked about I’m a liar,”Bromfield added.
