In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay coach Doug Gottlieb thought that the parody video featuring Reese was funny
The parody video came on the heels of another double-double by Angel Reese. She finished with 11 points and 22 rebounds, an impressive feat considering it was her third straight game with at least 20 rebounds. However, her shooting remained a source for trolls after she went 4-for-16 offensively.
Many are using her field goal percentage to discredit her accomplishments this season. It’s a valid point although it might be better to encourage Reese to improve her finishing at the rim rather than tearing her a new one like what Doug Gottlieb did.
