The University of Tennessee’s Lady Volunteers basketball team is gearing up for an exciting season, one marked by celebrations both on and off the court. Head coach Kellie Harper recently made headlines after announcing that she’s expecting a baby, bringing joy to the entire Lady Vols community.
As one of the most successful women’s basketball programs in history, the Lady Vols have never shied away from pressure, and this season is no different. They’re building on the momentum from last year’s NCAA tournament run, where they reached the Elite Eight. Led by senior forward Rickea Jackson, the team is focused on one goal—bringing home a national championship.
The announcement of Harper’s pregnancy has only added to the team’s motivation, with players expressing their desire to win for their coach and her growing family. Jackson commented, “Coach has always been there for us, and now it’s time for us to give back by bringing that title to Knoxville.”
