he Kansas City Royals completed the task in hand by defeating theBaltimore Orioles with a score of 2-1 to advance to the Division Series and they did so on the road, at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, leaving the Wild Card Series 2-0, a sweep that once again broke the fans’ hearts.
The Orioles have lost in the Division Series of the 2012 and 2023 seasons, in 2014 they faced the same Kansas City Royals only to lose in the American League Championship Series and in 2016 they lost in the Wild Card. Now, it was the same Royals who finished them allowing only one run scored.
In the first inning, the Royals found the first run with an RBI single by Vinnie Pasquantino to put Michael Massey running on the bases to get all the way home. Despite a comeback, it was not enough.
