Foundation Academy alum and star football player Danny Stutsman, a standout linebacker for the Oklahoma Sooners, has been named to both the AFCA FBS Coaches’ and Walter Camp All-American first teams.

The senior racked up 110 total tackles — his third season recording more than 100 tackles — and one sack in 12 games for the Sooners, who finished with a 6-6 record in their first season in the SEC.

Along with the announcement of Stutsman’s All-American honors, the former Lion also penned a goodbye letter to Sooner Nation, announcing he will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft.

“I have been blessed to spend the past four years in Norman, surrounded by the best fans in the country, coaches who are family and teammates who have become lifelong friends,” Stutsman wrote. “I am appreciative of Coach (Brian) Odom for giving me the initial opportunity to play for this prestigious program. I am forever indebted to Coach (Brent) Venables and his staff for their development of the player and man … I am today. Most importantly, I am thankful for my mom and dad and their unwavering support of me through all of the highs and lows of my collegiate career — and for always being my biggest fans. The University of Oklahoma is my home and the support from Sooner Nation has been unbelievable; for that, I am forever grateful.”

With the type of production that earned him All-American honors and superb physical tools, standing at 6-foot-4 and 243 pounds, Stutsman is considered one of the top linebacker prospects entering the draft.

Despite the college football season not being over and the NFL Draft process yet to begin, various draft prognosticators have slotted Stutsman as a late first-round or Day Two selection.
