Clemson football‘s top wide receiver, Antonio Williams, announced he will return to the Tigersin 2025.
Williams announced his intentions to come back for his fourth season and not enter the NFL draft on Instagram on Friday.
“More to be done,” Williams wrote.
Williams led Clemson in receptions (75), receiving yards (904) and receiving touchdowns (11) in 2024 and earned first-team all-ACC honors. Last season was massive for Williams, who rebounded from 2023, when ankle and foot injuries limited him to five games.
The 5-foot-11, 190-pound wideout showcased his versatility for the Tigers last season. He threw for a touchdown, rushed for one and caught another to join C.J. Spiller (2008, 2009), Jacoby Ford (2009) and Sammy Watkins (2012) as Clemson players since 2000 to accomplish the feat in a season.
Williams, who has two years of eligibility remaining, is also in reach of career Clemson records. He has 153 career receptions, 92 shy of record-holder Artavis Scott (245). Williams has 17 receiving touchdowns, 10 shy of DeAndre Hopkins, Sammy Watkins and Tee Higgins, who lead with 27 each. Williams also has recorded a catch in 33 consecutive games, 10 shy of the record 43 set by Hunter Renfrow.
Williams’ decision to return is great news for Clemson’s offense. Its end-of-year starting wide receivers (Bryant Wesco Jr., T.J. Moore) are back for the 2025 season with quarterback Cade Klubnik coming back for his final season. The Tigers’ offense is entering their third season under offensive coordinator Garrett Riley with expectations to be just as explosive as last year.
