All eyes are on the Georgia Bulldogssearch for a quarterback, and head coach Kirby Smart is on the college football recruiting trail trying to find the team’s signal-caller of the future. The consensus No. 1 quarterback in the 2026 recruiting class posted a photo of a home visit with Smart.
Landing the star quarterback still leaves the Dawgs with a question mark heading into 2025. With Carson Beck and Jaden Rashada hitting the college football transfer portal, Gunner Stockton becomes the favorite to be the team’s QB1 this upcoming season.
The Bulldogs also landed four-star recruit Ryan Montgomery in the 2025 class.
Nashville Christian’s Jared Curtis posted a photo alongside Smart as Georgia continues to ramp up the program’s pursuit of the five-star quarterback.
“Great [in-home] visit tonight!” Curtis said on Thursday.
Curtis recently revealed that Georgia is one of three official visits the quarterback plans to take during the summer. Additionally, Curtis will visit the Oregon Ducks and South Carolina Gamecocks.
On3.com’s Steve Wiltfong reported that the Bulldogs are trending in the right direction for Curtis when it comes to the 2026 recruiting class.
I do think the relationships are still strongest at Georgia,” Wiltfong detailed on Tuesday. “Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo spent nine hours with Curtis and his family on a recent in-home. Kirby Smart and Bobo will be back on Thursday.
Proximity to home, competing for championships every year, the relationships with the staff and perhaps the cleanest depth chart of the three to compete right away within a talented roster have the Bulldogs in prime position. As of right now, in the end, I still like where UGA stands right now.”
