College football legend reveals Louisville’s ‘vibe’ was glaringly better than Miami’s
Louisville football has had some iconic quarterbacks in the hisotry of their program, and recently Lamar Jackson will be the first name to come to many.
However, Teddy Bridgewater, the Cardinals quarterback back from 2011 through 2013, had one of the best seasons in UofL history and recently he came out and spoke why he picked Louisville over Miami.
Bridgewater went on the The OGs Show, where Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem are the host and bring old many athlets for their podcast. In a recent episode they brought on Louisville legend Teddy Bridgewater, and he addressed why he chose Charlie Strong and Louisville football over the historic program of Miami Hurricanes.

The highly-recruited prospect out of Miami was ranked as the No. 2. dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2011, and was a unanimous four-star prospect and was as high as the 70th best player in the nation by Rivals250.
Bridgewater in high school threw for 2,606 yards and 22 touchdowns as a senior, and 2,546 yards and 32 touchdowns as a junior. He was a unanimous top 10 quarterback in his class, and many assumed he was going to pick Miami, however he chose Louisville and he broke down why.
Miami fired Randy Shannon, and when they fired him I was like man, I’ll see who this new coach is coming in.” Bridgewater stated on one of the reasons he picked Louisville over Miami.
Randy Shannon was Miami Hurricanes football head coach from 2007 until 2010, until he was let go after a 28-22 record in four years, including a 7-5 record in 2010.
“I wasn’t even feeling the vibe of the new staff, and I always been a person who could feel your spirit.” Bridgewater stated on why he chose Charlie Strong and Louisville over Miami. “If the vibes a’int right, my spirit won’t fit here.”
Bridgewater was the first true freshman see the field as a quarterback since Brian Brohm in 2004, and was first true freshman to start for Louisville football since Stu Stram in 1976.
