    Christopher Ilitch, who is the son of the late Mike Ilitch, the founder of Little Caesars Pizza. Christopher Ilitch is the current CEO and President of Ilitch Holdings, Inc., which is the parent company of the Red Wings and other businesses, including the Detroit Tigers and Little Caesars Pizza.¹ ²

    Mike Ilitch purchased the Detroit Red Wings in 1982 for $8 million and turned the team into a perennial contender for the Stanley Cup. Under his ownership, the Red Wings won four Stanley Cup championships in 1997, 1998, 2002, and 2008.

    After Mike Ilitch’s death in 2017, Christopher Ilitch took over as the owner of the Red Wings and has continued to manage the team and other Ilitch Holdings businesses.
