Oklahoma Sooners ace Jordy Bahl proved once again why she is one of the most dominant pitchers in college softball, delivering two masterful performances as the Sooners swept a crucial conference doubleheader. In Game 1, Bahl struck out 12 batters in a complete-game shutout, allowing just three hits and no walks. Her ability to mix speeds and locate pitches kept the opposing hitters off balance all game. In Game 2, she entered in relief in the fifth inning with Oklahoma clinging to a one-run lead. Bahl proceeded to strike out six of the nine batters she faced, securing another victory for the Sooners. Head coach Patty Gasso praised Bahl’s composure and leadership, calling her the backbone of the pitching staff. Offensively, Jayda Coleman and Tiare Jennings provided plenty of run support, each hitting home runs to break open the games. With Bahl anchoring the pitching staff and the Sooners’ offense firing on all cylinders, Oklahoma remains the team to beat in the race for another Women’s College World Series title. If Bahl continues performing at this level, the Sooners could be on their way to another championship in Oklahoma City.
