Brady Cook injury update: Missouri football quarterback leaves game in first quarter

Missouri football quarterback Brady Cook returned to Mizzou’s game against Auburn late in the third quarter after spending time in the locker room and on the sideline with a leg injury suffered on the first drive of the game.
Cook was warming up on the sideline earlier in the quarter. Backup MU QB Drew Pyne just completed a third-quarter drive that resulted in a field goal.
Cook was throwing balls on the MU sideline after emerging from the south end-zone tunnel wearing his helmet.
Per a team spokesperson at half-time, Cook was marked as “unlikely to return.”
Drew Pyne led the offense on each of Missouri’s drives in the second quarter, and looks like he’ll finish the game out for Mizzou. Running back Nate Noel also is unlikely to return for Missouri, per the team spokesperson.
Chris Gervino of Tiger Radio Network reported from the sideline of Faurot Field that Missouri football starting quarterback, Cook was getting his ankle re-taped and will attempt to return to the game. Cook did not reappear from the locker room at the beginning of the second quarter.
Cook left the Tigers‘ game against Auburn in the first drive of the first quarter with an injury. He exited to the sideline with an apparent leg injury with Mizzou in field goal territory.
Cook immediately went to the locker room and was replaced by backup Drew Pyne.
Missouri scored a field goal on the opening drive, only running one play without Cook.
Later in the first quarter, tight end Brett Norfleet left the game holding his shoulder. The sophomore tight end also left to the locker room and has not returned to the sideline. He returned to the game in the first half.
