Relievers Zack Kelly and Greg Weissert have made the Opening Day roster, manager Alex Cora told reporters, including MLB.com’s Ian Browne, in Mexico on Tuesday.
The Red Sox will play their final exhibition game in Monterrey, Mexico, against the Sultanes at 7:10 p.m.
Kelly and Weissert will join fellow relievers Aroldis Chapman, Liam Hendriks, Justin Slaten, Garrett Whitlock and Justin Wilson on the Opening Day roster.
One bullpen spot remains. It will go to either lefty Brennan Bernardino or righty Cooper Criswell.
Kelly, who added a two-seam fastball this past offseason, allowed just two runs, four hits and one walk while striking out eight in 7 ⅔ innings over seven Grapefruit League outings.
Weissert had a nice spring training except for one game. He didn’t allow a run in seven of his eight outings. He also gave up just two hits in those seven appearances. His one bad outing came March 17 against Baltimore when he gave up six runs while recording just two outs.
Weissert didn’t allow an earned run in his final 17 outings (16 ⅔ innings) last year after moving from the right side to the left side of the rubber.
