A pizza delivery driver in Ohio has claimed that he was fired after a dispute involving the wife of Ohio State’s defensive coordinator. The driver, who worked for a local pizza chain, alleges that Amy Fickell, the wife of then-defensive coordinator Luke Fickell, played a role in his termination following an argument over a delivery.
According to the driver, the incident began when he attempted to deliver an order to the Fickell residence but was met with resistance over an issue involving payment or the timeliness of the delivery. The driver stated that the interaction escalated, leading to a complaint being filed against him. Shortly afterward, he was informed by his employer that he was being let go.
The driver took to social media to share his side of the story, claiming that his firing was unjust and that the influence of a high-profile football coach’s family played a role. While the pizza company did not provide details about the termination, they denied that outside pressure had anything to do with the decision.
Neither Luke nor Amy Fickell publicly commented on the matter, and Ohio State University did not release a statement regarding the alleged incident.
