With the NFL Scouting Combine and Pro Day in the review mirror, former Mizzouquarterback Brady Cook took to social media to make a big announcement on Friday.
The 23-year old signal caller is engaged long time sweetheart Carli Schieferle.
“From walking the halls in grade school to walking through life together, here’s to forever. I love you,” Cook posted on ‘X’accompanied by an image of his proposal from New York City’s Central Park.
Across five years in Columbia, Cook rose the totem pole as one of Mizzou’s fan favorites finishing his career No. 2 in wins as a starting QB behind Chase Daniels.
The three-time captain also became the first Mizzou QB to start four bowl games, as well as the first to earn bowl game MVP in three different bowls – 2021 Armed Forces Bowl, 2023 Cotton Bowl Classic, and the 2024 Music City Bowl.
The X post received a bunch of reactions from Mizzou fans sending love to their former quarterback.
Congrats to you and Carli, Brady!” one user wrote.
“Make sure she agrees to send all your little QBs to Mizzou in a prenuptial! Lol congrats young man !!” another user joked.
“LET HIM COOK! Congrats QB1!” another said.
Carli Schieferle, Cook’s new fiancée, attended Mizzou and gained her first bachelor’s degree in May of 2022 according to a previous Instagram post. While there is no official information on when Brady and Carli started dating, Instagram posts go back as far as 2017 and Cook’s proposal tweet indicates the two have been together an extended time.
