2026 Safety D’Montae Tims Commits to Mizzou After First Visit

    By BVM Sportsdesk, 04/04/2025

D’Montae Tims, a three-star safety from the Class of 2026, has committed to Missourifollowing his first unofficial visit. Rated as the No. 63 safety in his class, Tims received an offer from Mizzou’s safeties coach Jacob Yoro earlier this year. He praised Yoro’s honesty and expressed confidence in the coaching staff, including head coach Eli Drinkwitz who sees him as a future STAR position player. Tims is also set to take an official visit to Vanderbilt but made his decision to join Missouri, highlighting their engaging coaching approach and team environment.

    By the Numbers

    • Tims recorded 25 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3 interceptions in his junior season.
    • He is currently ranked as the No. 63 safety in the Class of 2026.

    State of Play

    • Tims is one of the first two commits for Missouri’s 2026 recruiting class, joining Anthony Kennedy Jr.
    • He has an official visit to Vanderbilt scheduled for June 13-15.

What’s NextTims plans to solidify his commitment with an official visit to Missouri from June 20-22, prior to the NCAA Dead Period. This visit may further encourage him to strengthen ties with the coaching staff and current players, potentially leading to a solid recruiting class for Mizzou.

Bottom LineMissouri has secured a talented recruit in D’Montae Tims who could become a key player in their defensive lineup, highlighting the effectiveness of their recruitment strategy and the appeal of their coaching staff.
