Nebraska football quarterback target Trae Taylorspoke highly of the Huskers on Wednesday during an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Andrew Nemec.
Nebraska is one of his top four schools, and he has made several visits to Lincoln over the course of the last year. Now, he is beginning to narrow down his timeline, with a decision set for May 1. Along with Nebraska, Taylor is considering the Illinois Fighting Illini, the LSU Tigers, and the Texas A&M Aggies.
Taylor is the No. 11 prospect in the 2027 cycle, as well as the fourth overall quarterback in the class itself per Rivals rankings. The quarterback likes Nebraska for multiple reasons, and spoke about why he views the Huskers as one of his finalists.
A staff, as a whole, I connect the best here. And their sports broadcasting degree is top notch. If you ask me, Nebraska has the best facilities in the country.”
Taylor’s decision will certainly be an interesting one. Nebraska has no commitments in the 2027 cycle, and a commitment from Taylor would certainly be a solid start to the class.
The program has done a better job of recruiting the quarterback position over the last couple of classes. It is clear that the program is a contender in this recruitment. Now, they need to seal the deal.
