Baylor Basketball Lands Incredible Rebounder in Transfer Portal
On Sunday Afternoon, Scott Drew and the Baylor Bears added a nice piece through the transfer portal with the commitment of High Point transfer Juslin Bodo Bodo .
Bodo Bodo, a 7-foot sophomore from Yaounde, Cameroon, spent the past two seasons with the Panthers, starting 71 of 71 career games played.
The Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman was the first to break the news, saying, “Baylor has landed High Point transfer Juslin Bodo Bodo. The 7-foot sophomore averaged 5.3 points, 8.4 boards, and 1.4 blocks this past season. No. 1 in nation in offensive rebound percentage.”
In 2024, Bodo Bodo posted 5.3 points and 8.4 rebounds per game on 64.3% shooting from the field. His rebounding numbers are astounding as he boasts an incredible 18.2% offensive rebounding rate. He also accounted for an offensive rating of 128.8 on a 13.7% usage rate.
Coming out of SoCal Academy in the Class of 2023, Bodo Bodo was listed as a three-star prospect by the 247Sports index. The talented big man also checked in as the 35th-ranked player at his position and the 32nd-ranked player in Cameroon.
The transfer portal officially opened on Monday, March 24, 2025. According to NCAA data, 1,296 FBS basketball players entered the transfer portal in the 2023-24 school year, with 864 (66.7%) undergraduates and 432 (33.3%) graduate transfers. Of the entrants, 70% reported that they enrolled in another school, 6% withdrew their names from the portal, and 23% are still active, transferred to a non-NCAA school, or left their sport.
