MT Earns No. 3 Seed for Big 12 Championship
Bears to host championship tournament, facing off against ASU in on Friday at 4 p.m. CT
IRVING, Texas – Baylor men’s tennis grabbed the No. 3 seed for the 2025 Big 12 Tennis Championship on Sunday afternoon after the conclusion of the league’s regular season on Sunday evening.
The Big 12 Championship, which is being held at home at the Hurd Tennis Center for the first time since 2021, begins with the first round on Thursday, but the Bears will not make their postseason debut until the quarterfinal round on Friday.
Baylor will face off against No. 6 seed Arizona State in the quarterfinals in the final match of the day at 4 p.m. on Friday, April 18 on the Hurd Tennis Center’s from Grandstand Courts.
Arizona and Baylor earned the No. 2 and No. 3 seeds, respectively, after finishing with 6-2 records in Conference play. Arizona won the tiebreaker after its 4-1 head-to-head Conference victory over the Bears in Waco.
