A second Clemson football player that went undrafted in the 2025 NFL Draft has signed as a free agent.
Defensive tackle Payton Page confirmed in a social media post to Instagram Monday that he was signing with the New York Jets.
A 6-foot-4, 310-pound tackle, Page is the second Clemson player to sign as an undrafted free agent after the 2025 draft. Tight end Jake Briningstool signed with the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday. The Tigers have two more players that went undrafted over the weekend that could sign as undrafted free agents: offensive lineman Marcus Tate and punter Aidan Swanson.
Page started all 14 games during Clemson’s ACC championship season a year ago. He was credited with 36 tackles (2.5 TFL), 0.5 sacks, and made a 57-yard interception return for touchdown in the Tigers’ 51-14 win over The Citadel on Nov. 23.
A 4-star recruit from the class of 2021 out of Dudley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina, Page was credited with 69 tackles (6.5 for loss), two pass breakups and one interception in four years at Clemson.
Clemson had three players selected in the 2025 NFL draft: linebacker Barrett Carter (fourth round, 119th overall by the Cincinnati Bengals), safety R.J. Mickens (sixth round, 214th overall by the Los Angeles Chargers), and running back Phil Mafah(seventh round, 239th overall by the Dallas Cowboys).
