WACO, Texas — Five Baylor football greats have signed NFL undrafted free agent deals following the draft.
Monaray Baldwin (Miami Dolphins), Matt Jones (Las Vegas Raiders), Treven Ma’ae (Raiders), Hal Presley(Buffalo Bills) and Garmon Randolph (Los Angeles Chargers) have all signed free-agent contracts.
In addition, Ketron Jackson received a mini camp invitation with the Baltimore Ravens and Lorando Johnson earned a mini camp invitation with the Raiders.
Baldwin, a native of Killeen, Texas, played in 44 games for the Bears over his four-year career, totaling 99 catches for 1,673 yards with 13 TDs. He also rushed for 178 yards and a pair of scores. He had three straight seasons with at least 450 receiving yards to conclude his career, including a 33-catch, 565-yard season in 2022 that saw four TDs, a 38-catch 623-yard season with four TDs in 2024 and a 27-catch, 478-yard campaign as a senior with a career-best five TDs. He finished his career with six 100+ yard receiving games, the 13th most in BU history.
Jones, native of Odessa, Texas, played in a school-record 62 games as a key linebacker for the last six seasons. He finished his career with 328 tackles, 34 for a loss, with 17 pass break-ups, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception and 12 sacks. He totaled the eight-most tackles in program history and the seventh-most TFLs in school annals. He was named first-team All-Big 12 Conference in 2024 while collecting 113 tackles, with 9.5 for a loss and four sacks.
A native of Kapolei, Hawaii, Ma’ae transferred to Baylor in 2023 after opening his career at Oregon. A 6-foot-5, 290-pound product of Las Vegas’ Bishop Gorman High School, he returns to Las Vegas for his professional debut. Over his five-year career, Ma’ae totaled 83 tackles, including 11 for a loss, with six sacks and three pass break-ups. As a senior, he broke out, totaling 42 tackles, 6.5 for a loss with 3.5 sacks while starting all 13 games on the defensive line.
Presley, a native of Mansfield, Texas, was a key weapon for the Bears at wide receiver and as a team leader over the last four seasons, playing in 39 games. He totaled 81 catches for 1,048 yards and seven TDs in his career. As a senior in 2024, he had 31 catches for a career-high 429 yards with three TDs. His sophomore season featured 32 catches for 382 yards and four TDs before his junior campaign was cut short due to injury but still featured 17 catches for 222 yards in six games.
A native of Jefferson, Ga., Randolph played in 52 games over six seasons for the Bears. A 6-foot-8, 260-pound outside linebacker, Randolph charted 120 tackles with 14.5 for a loss and 10 sacks over his career. He had a 43-tackle effort with 4.5 sacks as a sophomore, had 23 stops in 2023 and finished his career with 29 tackles, 4.5 for a loss and 3.5 sacks as a senior, adding a pair of interceptions.
Jackson played his first two seasons at Arkansas and his final two at Baylor, logging 46 collegiate games. He finished with 61 career catches fort 1,099 yards and seven TDs. At Baylor, he finished with 40 catches for 725 yards and three scores, including a 28-catch season that saw him go for 489 yards and a TD.
Johnson played in 44 collegiate games over three years at Baylor and one season at Arkansas. He opened his career with 20 games played over the 2022 and 2023 seasons for the Bears, before playing 12 games at Arkansas in 2023. He transferred back to Baylor for the 2024 season. Over his career, Johnson had 64 tackles, seven for a loss, with 1.5 sacks and two interceptions, breaking up 16 passes. His 2024 season saw him break up a career-high 11 passes.
