Penn State Wrestling once again demonstrated its dominance at the 2025 NCAA Championships, with stars Aaron Brooks and Carter Starocci each claiming national titles and cementing their places in collegiate wrestling history. Brooks, competing at 197 pounds, cruised through the bracket with precision and power, defeating Iowa’s Zach Glazier 10–3 in the finals. Starocci, wrestling at 174 pounds, showcased his trademark grit, edging out Cornell’s Chris Foca in a 5–4 thriller to win his fourth consecutive NCAA title.
This tournament marked a historic moment for the Nittany Lions, as all 10 of their wrestlers earned All-American honors—only the second time in NCAA history that a team has achieved that feat. The balance of youth and veteran leadership, paired with Cael Sanderson’s unmatched coaching, created a perfect storm for Penn State’s continued supremacy.
Brooks, who finishes his college career as a four-time NCAA champion, is widely considered one of the greatest to ever wear the blue and white. Starocci, also a four-time champ, is expected to pursue Olympic and international wrestling opportunities.
As fans in State College erupted in celebration, one thing became clear: Penn State isn’t just winning titles—they’re building a dynasty for the ages.
