One of the top rising stars in high school basketball is already speaking highly of Kentucky.
Caleb Holt, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Loganville (Ga.) Grayson High School, is currently ranked No. 7 in the national 2026 class by 247Sports and No. 3 overall in the composite rankings.
His growing buzz on the Adidas 3SSB circuit has made him a prime recruiting target, and Kentucky head coach Mark Pope is clearly making him a priority.
Last month, the Wildcats sent staff for an in-home visit with Holt, and the message was clear — they want him to be the face of the program.
“The visit went pretty well,” Holt said of his time with Kentucky, according to 247Sports. “They want me to come in and be the guy. They are a historic place, and it went pretty well.”
Holt is also being heavily pursued by Houston, which completed an in-home visit of its own in April. Still, Kentucky’s early positioning could matter in what’s shaping up to be a competitive recruitment.

Holt’s production speaks for itself.
With elite scoring instincts, defensive versatility, and natural athleticism, he’s become the highest-ranked prospect on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.
His 247Sports composite rating sits at 0.9985, putting him firmly in 5-star territory and among the most sought-after guards in the country.
For Mark Pope, securing a player like Holt would mark a major recruiting victory as he continues reshaping the Wildcats’ program in year two.
