Travis Perry seemed destined to be a Kentucky Wildcats player. The all-time leading scorer in the state’s history grew up a fan, was recruited by John Calipari. Then, when Mark Pope took over, he was the only player to stay in the program.
However, after one season, Perry opted to enter the transfer portal, looking for more playing time. Now, he has chosen his new home and will play for the Ole Miss Rebels in 2025-26 per On3’s Joe Tipton.
In his lone season in Lexington, Perry didn’t play big minutes, but did have some impactful moments, including a memorable game against the Tennessee Volunteers. He averaged 2.7 points per game, and made 32% of his three-point attempts.
Ole Miss was one of the teams that recruited Perry out of high school, so his relationship with the coaching staff there is already strong. He would likely have been the second or third point guard off the bench at Kentucky, but will compete for the starting job with the Rebels.
