NASCAR just made history again. The league officially confirmed its return to the Chicago Street Course for the 2025 season—but this time with a twist that’s never been seen in motorsports. Partnering with local and national street artists, NASCAR will transform the race into a full-blown culture fusion event. Called “Speed & Spray,” the event will feature 10 world-renowned artists painting live murals on temporary racing barriers and fan zones. Race attendees will also get to collaborate in open graffiti sessions, blending the speed of stock car racing with the grit of street expression. “We’re not just racing through the city—we’re becoming part of it,” said NASCAR VP Ben Kennedy. Chicago native and rap artist Chance the Rapper is rumored to headline the post-race concert, while NASCAR legend Bubba Wallace called it “the dopest idea I’ve seen in years.” Fans are already dubbing it the “Fastest Art Show on Earth.” Merch drops, augmented reality street-tagging, and fan contests are planned. The announcement is being hailed as a major step toward making NASCAR accessible to a new generation of urban, creative, and diverse fans. This isn’t just a race—it’s a revolution.
