Caitlin Clark gets new nickname ahead of the WNBA season
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark earned a new nickname from an Indiana Pacers radio host as she supports Tyrese Haliburton and company in the 2025 NBA postseason
In conjunction with training camp for the start of the 2025 WNBA season, Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clarkhas spent part of her offseason serving as a key supporter for the Indiana Pacers (and her good friend Tyrese Haliburton).
Perhaps Clark has been the good luck charm: Indiana upset the top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers in five games to advance to their second consecutive Eastern Conference Finals despite Donovan Mitchell’s heroics. After Indiana’s blowout victory over Cleveland in Game 4, Clark called into the ‘Pacers Overtime’ radio show on 93.5/107.5 The Fan with host Eddie White and Pacers co-owner Stephen Simon to talk hoops.
The always-bombastic White introduced the Fever star with a new nickname: “Caitlin from downtown.” The nickname is well-earned, as Clark led the WNBAin three-pointers last season.
