COLUMBIA, S.C. (WCIV) — Dylan Stewart, a University of South Carolina Edge rusher, was named to the Walter Camp Preseason All-America Team Tuesday.
Stewart, a 6-5, 245-pound sophomore from Washington, D.C., was a 2024 Freshman All-American and a finalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year Award after logging 10.5 tackles for loss, including 6.5 sacks for the Gamecocks.
He was already named a member of the Athlon Sports first team All-SEC and All-America.
Stewart earned SEC Defensive Newcomer of the Year honors after a strong true freshman season. He was also a finalist for the Shaun Alexander Freshman of the Year award. It also awarded him unanimous Freshman All-SEC and All-American honors.
2025 marks the 136th edition of the Walter Camp team, the nation’s oldest college football All-America team.
Typically announced in early December, the Walter Camp All-America teams are selected by the FBS head coaches and sports information directors.
