Kalen DeBoer Provides Health Update as Alabama Begins Summer
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke with the media at SEC spring meetings in Florida, where he discussed the health of his team heading into summer workouts
While coaches aren’t allowed to be with players during the summer, training staff can be with the players begin workouts and seven-on-seven work during the Summer. The next time all the coaches and players will get together will be the start of Fall camp, likely in late July
During the spring, Alabama’s roster was decimated by injuries held over from the Tide’s 9-4 2024 campaign. Kadyn Proctor, Deontae Lawson, Danny Lewis Jr., Keon Sabb, Domani Jackson, and James Smith all came into spring camp banged up and missing time due to injury. During spring, Alabama’s tight ends were dropping like flies, with Marshall Pritchett and Josh Cuevas suffering injuries that ended their spring camp early, and Geno VanDeMark and Ryan Williams being limited down the stretch of spring ball due to injuries during the Tide’s second scrimmage.
