Head coach Billy Napier and the Florida Gators have put together an impressive 2026 recruiting class which ranks 13th in the country according to On3.com. The program has an opportunity to snare a crown jewel in the class despite being relatively late into the cycle.
Safety Bralan Womack announced his commitment date of August 23 in late April, and Florida is featured in his Top 4. At that time, Ohio State was viewed as the clear frontrunner, but after an official visit at the start of June and some additional work by lead recruiter and safeties’ coach Vinnie Sunseri, Florida is firmly in the mix.
On3.com recruiting analyst Steve Wiltfongprovided an update on Womack’s recruitment just over one month away from the Flowood, Mississippi native’s commitment date.
“”I like where Ohio State is at with No. 1 safety Bralan Womack but Florida has come strong and Auburn rose up the ranks with their terrific summer official visit. Texas A&M rounds out the top four.””Steve Wiltfong
Rated the top safety in the ’26 class by 247sports and the No. 3 safety by rivals, Womack would be the Gators’ first five-star recruit of the 2026 cycle.
Here’s what Hail Florida Hail said about Womack back in February:
“Womack is a two-way player whose more impressive clips come as a wide receiver. He’s more of a stop-and-go route runner, but when he goes, he explodes. In one clip, he runs a slow-motion jet sweep, is dead to rights for a 10-yard loss, yet wiggles away for an eventual first down.
