Tennessee Reportedly Welcomes A Five-star Ahead…

Five-star Tennessee quarterback commitment George MacIntyre of Brentwood (Tenn.) Academy plans to return to Knoxville this weekend for a two-day visit with the Vols that will allow him to attend their first spring practice. He expects to be joined by an elite wide receiver whoโ€™s one of Tennesseeโ€™s top targets at the position.

MacIntyre told GoVols247 that heโ€™s set to visit Tennessee on Sunday and Monday. He posted Thursday afternoon on his X account that five-star Class of 2025 wide receiver Jaime Ffrench, a former Alabama commitment from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville, Fla., will be there, too.

Back in Knoxville this week,โ€ MacIntyre posted. โ€œSpecial visitor will be there also @jaimeffrenchjr.โ€

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Ffrench has been planning to visit Tennessee for the first time this spring. He told 247Sportsโ€™ Tom Loy last month that the Vols were scheduled to host him on April 8.

Ffrench is a five-star prospect in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, where heโ€™s ranked the No. 16 overall prospect and the No. 3 wide receiver in the 2025 class and the No. 3 junior from the state of Florida. According to 247Sports, heโ€™s a four-star prospect whoโ€™s ranked the No. 30 overall player and No. 4 wide receiver in the 2025 class.

Ffrench is coming off a visit to LSU last weekend. He told 247Sportsโ€™ Steve Wiltfong after the visit that he has โ€œset an official visit (to LSU) for the first weekend in May.โ€

Ohio State has received a pair of predictions for Ffrench on the 247Sports Crystal Ball. Both picks have been made since last week, with the most recent prediction coming from 247Sportsโ€™ Tom Loy on Wednesday.

Ffrench has been one of Tennesseeโ€™s top wide-receiver targets since announcing his decommitment from Alabama on Jan. 14 in the aftermath of former Crimson Tide coach Nick Sabanโ€™s retirement. MacIntyre has also spent plenty of time recruiting Ffrench for the Vols. In late February, MacIntyre specifically mentioned Ffrench, five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. and four-star offensive tackle Juan Gaston as players he had been prioritizing, along with two of his Tennessee Select 7-on-7 teammates โ€” wide receiver Radarious Jackson of Memphis, Tenn., and four-star athlete Cameron Sparks of Chattanooga, Tenn.

โ€œI would say Iโ€™m mostly focused on the offensive side of the ball, besides the in-state kids,โ€ MacIntyre said at the time.
