As the Light Blues get ready for a crucial Premiership trip to Motherwell on Christmas Eve, Scott Wright thinks Philippe Clement’s vision for Rangers is starting to become even more apparent.
The Belgian manager succeeded Michael Beale in October, and while he hasn’t lost in 15 games, the last week or two has seen the most improvements.
Following a 1-0 Viaplay Cup final victory against Aberdeen at Hampden Park on Sunday, the Light Blues defeated Real Betis 3-2 to advance to the Europa League quarterfinals. On Wednesday night, they defeated St Johnstone 2-0 at Ibrox to remain just one point behind leaders Celtic in the league.
Wright complimented Clement’s contribution to the Gers team, stating, “I love the way he works.” He’s been a breath of fresh air for the entire crew, both on and off the field, since his arrival.
“We just need to keep generating momentum because his training has been excellent and we’ve seen amazing results.
“He is simply really direct. With him, I believe you get what you pay for. He is really explicit about what he expects of you both personally and as a team, as well as how serious he is about his goals and contributions.
